Revisited: The Jayhawks "Rainy Day Music".
My latest album to revisit is "Rainy Day Music" by The Jayhawks from 2003. I love this band and, while there's some strong competition, I count this as the finest album in their catalog. Gary Louris penned 10 of the 14 tracks, the standout of which is "All The Right Reasons." Simply put, it's beautiful. Other highlights include "Save It For A Rainy Day", "Angelyne", and "Tampa To Tulsa" - the latter of which was written by drummer Tim O'Reagan. Uncut called the album "all acoustic guitars, rich jangling melodies and heavenly harmonies" adding that Louris "has come up with some of his most memorable compositions”. Do your ears a treat and check it out.
